Cieri, Huggins To Join WGLS-FM Hall Of Fame

WGLS

Kevin Cieri (’81) and Ashley (Smith) Huggins (’08) will become the newest members of the WGLS-FM Hall of Fame as a part of Rowan University’s Homecoming festivities in October.

Cieri and Huggins will be honored at Rowan Radio’s Alumni Mixer and Hall of Fame Celebration at Friday, October 11 at Rowan University’s Alumni Engagement Center.

Hogan, Donovan To Be Inducted Into The WGLS-FM Hall Of Fame

Rowan Radio General Manager Emeritus Frank J. Hogan and Rowan University professor Michael Donovan will be inducted into the WGLS-FM Hall of Fame at Rowan Radio’s annual banquet on Thursday, April 12 at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, New Jersey.

Hogan served as WGLS-FM General Manager from 1991 to 2013. Under his leadership, WGLS-FM reached unprecedented heights on and off-the-air including winning College Radio Station of the Year; and receiving over 200 regional and national awards for excellence in programming.

Rowan Radio Named Finalist In National Station of the Year Competition

Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM was named one of three national finalists for Station of the Year in College Media Association’s Pinnacle Awards competition on Friday.

WGLS-FM joins campus radio stations from Marshall University and West Virginia University as the competition’s other finalists for top four-year college radio station. Rowan Radio was last named a finalist for the same award in 2013.
