Rowan Radio Wins Two Hermes Creative Awards
Two Rowan Radio programs won Hermes Creative Awards in the organization’s 14th annual competition.
Flip The Script Revisited, a documentary on the media’s portrayal of the LGBTQ+ community, received a Platinum Award in the Audio/Radio Program category. This is the second award for the piece, which also won first place in the Society of Professional Journalists Region 1 competition for Best Radio Feature in February.

The Hermes Awards recognized five Rowan Radio programs on Tuesday in the organization’s annual competition.
Behind the Closed Door: Sexual Assault on College Campuses received a Platinum Award for Best Audio Program. The documentary covered the trend of sexual assaults on college campuses and what universities were doing to make their environment safer.

WGLS-FM Documentary On Autism Wins Regional First Place Award
Living with Autism: A Different Way of Life, a WGLS-FM documentary about autism, won first place in Garden State Journalists Association’s annual awards competition on Thursday.
The 30-minute documentary received first place in the organization’s Radio Feature category. Living with Autism toppled public radio stations throughout the New York/New Jersey area in the competition for the victory.
Rowan Radio Documentary On Autism Airs Thursday
Coming up on Thursday, January 8 at 5:30 p.m., Rowan Radio will air its latest documentary titled “Living With Autism: A Different Way of Live.”
Produced by Rowan University students Jennifer O’Donnell, Michael Stoever, and Blake Doughty, the program details the issues that children have when diagnosed with autism and how it potentially affects millions people around the world.
