WGLS-FM Wins Three Communicator Awards

LeoRowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM won three Communicator Awards for radio programming and online video production on Tuesday from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.

Living with Autism: A Different Way of Life, a  30-minute documentary, won an Award of Distinction for production. Created by Jennifer O’Donnell, Blake Doughty, and Michael Stoever, the program focuses on autism’s impact on society through interviews with experts, parents, and siblings.

WGLS-FM Documentary On Autism Wins Regional First Place Award

WGLSLiving with Autism: A Different Way of Life, a WGLS-FM documentary about autism, won first place in Garden State Journalists Association’s annual awards competition on Thursday.

The 30-minute documentary received first place in the organization’s Radio Feature category. Living with Autism toppled public radio stations throughout the New York/New Jersey area in the competition for the victory.
