Local music fanatics prepared for more than parties and costumes this Halloween, as one of Philadelphia’s own released their long awaited album.

Beach Slang, a four piece rock band, dropped The Things We Do To Find People Who Feel Like Us on Friday, October 30th. The album is already blowing up, receiving praise from some of the most prestigious publications, from The Telegraph to Rolling Stone. Its success is well-deserved considering the band has been pumping out great music since their very first EP.

Scheduled Games For the NJAC Tournament Tomorrow

Rowan Baseball is scheduled to play tomorrow at home against Kean University at 3:30 pm. Rowan Softball will playing against either William Patterson or Rutger Camden. Rowan University’s Baseball & Softball Play at Home Tomorrow!

Tomorrow at Rowan University Baseball will be hosting Rutgers-Camden at 3:30. The game will be brodcast live on Rowan Radio 89.7 WGLS-FM. Rowan’s Softball will playing a double header at home against Washington College (MD). Rowan Television Network Is Hosting Its 7th Annual Telethon!

On Wednesday, April 9, “RTN’s 7th Annual Telethon” will air from 7 p.m.-midnight on Rowan University’s Channel 5. Additionally, it will stream live worldwide at

They’ve been working on the project for the past six months and the broadcast is getting very close. The Rowan student-produced telethon raises money for Ronald McDonald House of Southern New Jersey. and is produced exclusively by Rowan students.

The five-hour broadcast will feature interviews with families and staff members from the house, musical guests, videos concerning the organization, skits and even an appearance by Ronald McDonald himself.

RTN Telethon also has an official Instagram and Twitter. Students and viewers will live tweet during the broadcast using the hash tags #RTNTeleton and #RowanProud.

While donations will be accepted online, phone bank operators will be standing by to accept pledges during the broadcast at (856) 347-0786

RTN is looking to raise $6,500 for the house and the students have seen firsthand how the organization benefits children and their families. In the past, the annual RTN Telethon has raised more than $13,000 combined for organizations like Alex’s Lemonade Stand, the Make-A-Wish-Foundation and the Waves for Water Restore the Shore Project.
