Kozeniewski, Thacker To Be Inducted Into WGLS-FM Hall Of Fame

Tadd Kozeniewski ’90 and Marie Thacker (Melchionne) ‘79 will be inducted into the WGLS-FM Hall of Fame on Thursday, April 27 at Scotland Run Golf Club in Williamstown, New Jersey.

Kozeniewski’s broadcasting career began at then-Glassboro State College in 1985. During his time at WGLS-FM, Kozeniewski was a morning on-air personality, sports broadcaster, and the station’s Program Director before graduating in 1990.

Following graduation, he continued to pursue his passion of music and sports on radio and television. Kozeniewski’s various sports broadcasting credits as a play-by-play announcer and reporter include ESPN Radio and Comcast Cable.

He hosted music and sports programs at numerous radio and television stations throughout the country including stints at WZXL-FM in Atlantic City and WHWH-AM in Princeton, NJ.

Currently, Kozeniewski is a high school television production teacher at Sterling High School in Somerdale, NJ. He serves as a producer and director for student-run sports broadcasts.

Thacker, a writer and producer at NBC10 in Philadelphia, got her start with WGLS-FM in the late 70s as a news writer. She became an on-air personality and Co-News Director prior to graduating in 1979.

Her post-college career found her working in radio and television. Thacker handled radio news at WOBM-AM, WFIL-AM, Sunny 104.5, and other stations before landing in television news.

Her television career developed further as a news writer at WPVI-TV in Philadelphia and as a News Director at WHYY-TV in Wilmington, Delaware.

Thacker is a producer and writer with the morning news production team at NBC10 in Philadelphia.

Kozeniewski and Thacker become the 41st and 42nd members of the WGLS-FM Hall of Fame, which was established in 2005.

The WGLS-FM Hall of Fame annually recognizes Glassboro State/Rowan alumni that excelled during their time at the station; and demonstrate achievement through community involvement and career success.
