Rowan Radio Documentary Wins First Place At Media Festival

WGLS-FM: 50 Years And Counting, an hour-long documentary about the college radio station’s history, received Best In Category at Rowan University’s Radio/TV/Film 2016 Media Festival last Friday.

Produced by Rowan Radio’s Chet Green, the program achieved recognition for Best Audio Production in the competition’s documentary division.

The documentary saluted WGLS-FM’s 50-year plus history through a variety of interviews with alumni and administrators that contributed to the station’s success.

The R/T/F Media Festival honors the best student productions within Rowan University’s College of Communication and Creative Arts.
