The 30-minute documentary received first place in the organization’s Radio Feature category. Living with Autism toppled public radio stations throughout the New York/New Jersey area in the competition for the victory.
Produced by Jennifer O’Donnell, Blake Doughty, and Michael Stoever in conjunction with the Radio Production course instructed by WGLS-FM Station Manager Derek Jones, the program features interviews with experts, mothers, and siblings on how autism has impacted their lives.
The Garden State Journalists Association honors the best in print, radio, and television. Winners will be honored at the organization’s annual awards dinner at The Chart House in Weehawken, NJ on Wednesday, May 20.
