John Salvatore Wins Volunteer Of The Year Award

john2WGLS-FM Student Station Manager John Salvatore will receive the William P. Merryfield, Sr., Volunteer of the Year Award from The Arc Gloucester at the organization’s annual dinner on April 11.

Salvatore, a senior from Elmer, NJ, worked in conjunction with The Arc Gloucester and WGLS-FM General Manager Emeritus Frank Hogan to produce a video titled “The Arc Gloucester…Who We Are.”

The video details the mission and goals of The Arc Gloucester through interviews from those associated with the organization.

Presented to a volunteer or community neighbor, the award recognizes someone who generously donated time and talent to accomplish the mission of The Arc.

Established in 1957, The Arc Gloucester strives to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Arc Gloucester’s 56th Annual Awards Dinner will take place on April 11 at Auletto Caterers in Woodbury, NJ.
